For 12 dates we need a minimum of (21 and over only!): 1 Shift supervisor and 6 concession workers. The more people we can sign up per day the more money we raise for Unit Encampment. FAs will be earned by those who work the event.

***IMPORTANT** Immediately after signing up for a shift you need to obtain your Washington Food Handlers and Alcohol servers permits (two permits). Both courses can be completed online. Once you have the permits please provide a copy to Mrs. Crawford via email or in person. You must have these permits prior to starting your shift!

Our Festival starts off with a bang with DHF's fun, home town parade at 11:00 am. And those coming to enjoy the day love to cheer our parade participants on!

Our parade was fantastic last year, and this year’s will be even better!

You will need to arrive at the corners of Rees and Huckleberry Streets to be directed to check in promptly at 9:00 AM, but no later than 10:00 AM, to allow for staging. Late entries may not be allowed in the parade. Children are welcome with adult supervision.

July 21st - 23rd, has been selected as our weekend bonder. We are headed to the Hoover's cabin out in Rhododendron OR. We will be leaving on Friday July 21st at 6:00 p.m. returning Sunday early afternoon around 12:00pm. A gear list will be forth coming. You are responsible for your own chow. I will forward details to you as the time approaches. Mr. Hughes and I will be planning some time to do a special sign off as a platoon. We will be hiking to ZigZag Ranger Station on Saturday afternoon, they have agreed to have a class on specific topics of your choosing. This entire weekend has been the dream of CPL Hoover for a long time. He has planned and planned this for all of Alpha to get together and have a really good time. Mrs. Hoover, myself, Mr. Hughes and Ethan Hoover will be adults in attendance. If you are staff and your children are in Alpha platoon you are welcome to attend. All day FYI: National Encampment
We are planning to hold the 2017 National Encampment at BSA Camp Rainey in Clayton, Georgia. The dates are July 30 to August 5, 2017. This camp in the Chattahooche National Forest and is Northeast of Atlanta, with Charlotte to the East and Knoxville to the North. We look forward to having Young Marines from all over the United States come together for a week of fun.
