Twenty-one years ago today, Lewis & Clark Young Marines graduated its first Recruit Platoon, PLT 12702, under the watchful eye of our founding unit commander, Mr. George Pobi. Since then, we have graduated thirty-one other recruit classes! Ironically, our 32nd recruit class, PLT 31624, has their 3rd and final orientation tonight. π We continue to offer a solid program to the youth of the Vancouver Washington metro area and canβt wait to see where we will be 20 years from now. Happy anniversary to us! π π
Community: Veteran’s Day Events
Lewis & Clark Young Marines is dedicated to showing our Veterans how thankful we are for their service; this weekend we were given several opportunities.
We kicked off Veteran’s Day weekend, sending out three color guards to honor the brave, and then we marched to our favorite cadences for 1.3-miles in the annual Veteran’s Day Parade at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.
Thank you to CCRW, La Center School District, and View Ridge Middle School for hosting our color guards.
And a huge thank you to all Veterans for your service!
