Earn the Seamanship ribbon

Young Marines can earn the Seamanship ribbon, on their own, online. The Coast Guard Auxiliary offers an in-depth boating safety course, "America's Boating Course". If you pass the online boating test (achieve a score of 80% or better), you will receive a boater safety certification card in the mail, recognized and accepted by the Washington Parks and Recreation Commission.

** Passing the exam will also make you eligible for a discount on your boat or PWC insurance with many insurance providers. Send a copy of your certificate to your boat insurance agency and start receiving your savings!
