Lewis & Clark Young Marines is proud to announce YM/MGySgt Emma Langley has been appointed as the Young Marine Northwest Regiment Sergeant Major. The Northwest Regiment is one if the 5 Regiments in Division 6 and is the largest Regiment, covering 4 states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
A Young Marine Sergeant Major is the Senior Young Marine advisor to higher level commanders. This billet is one of the most important and influential billets in the Young Marine Program.
The Young Marine Sergeant Major is tasked with advising higher level commanders of matters pertaining to their level of leadership, recommending awards and promotions within the command, delegating the management of higher level events and mentoring all subordinate Young Marine First Sergeants.
YM/SgtMaj Langley has been a member of Lewis & Clark Young Marines since 2010. She was named 2018 NW Regiment Young Marine of the Year and was awarded the Young Marine Distinguished Order of Merit in December 2017.
