On a bright Saturday, the Lewis & Clark Young Marines had an unforgettable experience touring the historic PT Boat 658 and LCI 713 on Swan Island, thanks to the dedicated volunteers at the PT 658 organization. These young adventurers learned fascinating facts about the PT Boat 658, the fastest wooden boat of its time and one of the most heavily armed for its size during WWII. PT boats played a critical role in daring missions, often engaging in close combat situations that larger warships couldn’t undertake. Overnighter: Murray Farm
Thank you Murray Farm for hosting again this year’s Lewis & Clark Young Marines overnighter week-end! Young Marines had a great time camping, making ice cream, doing the obstacle course and playing in the creek! Our recruit class was also able to join in on the fun as well this weekend – though separately! They had their classes outdoors, their first day in woodland camouflage uniform, and they bonded with teambuilding activities like line push-ups!
Trips: Division 6 Encampment
Thank you to Blue Star Charters & Tours for safely driving Lewis & Clark Young Marines to and from our Division 6 Encampment!
Event: Seattle trip
Lewis & Clark Young Marines cruised up the I-5 to Seattle this past Saturday for our drill. We toured The Museum of Flight, checked out the Tukwila Family Fun Center & Bullwinkle’s Restaurant, and ended with Domino’s Pizza for dinner. It was a long day, but we had a blast!
Training: Leadership School
Lewis & Clark Young Marines sent six Young Marines off to Leadership School in Tennessee. Three will attend Junior Leadership School and three Senior Leadership School. Go get ‘em, Young Marines! And thank you Division 3 South East Regiment for putting on a fantastic Leadership School.
