Lewis & Clark Young Marines hosted it’s 21st Birthday Ball at Black Pearl on the Columbia Event Center Saturday night.
We had a wonderful ceremony, honoring our past and present, as well as this year’s Unit Young Marine of the Year YM/SSGT Gallant and Unit Volunteer of the Year Kristine Lewis! Congratulations!
We finished off the night getting silly in the photo booth and dancing to our favorite tunes provided by the wonderful High Fidelity Entertainment, LLC!
On March 17-19, Northwest Regiment Commander, Ms. Nona Mallicoat and Northwest Regiment’s 2018 Young Marine of the Year, YM/MGySgt Emma Langley (Lewis & Clark), hosted the first ever Northwest Regiment Symposium. This invite-only event was held at Lewis & Clark’s drill site in Vancouver, WA and was limited to the 2 senior Young Marines, with a year or more left in the unit, from each of the 15 Young Marines units in the Northwest Regiment. It is with much sadness that we must report, our unit Suburban aka “The Burb” has driven its final mile. Thank you, you have served us well.
The unit Suburban (1999) was our “go to” vehicle and used to transport Young Marines and staff to and from color guards and community service events to support our veterans. It was purchased “used” in 2009 with funds donated to the unit by a private supporter. [Read more…]

Every year, National Young Marine Headquarters hosts the Young Marine Adult Leaders Conference (ALC). This year ALC will be held at the Wyndham Riverwalk in San Antionio, TX from May 9-12. Young Marine Registered Adults from around the country will travel to San Antonio to learn and network with other registered adults.
Our Unit Commander, Mr. Lewis, believes information should not be held only at the highest level, but instead shared with all RAs in the unit. Keeping our RAs informed and up to date with YM policy allows them to answer questions in an educated manner. If they don’t have the correct information, we are ineffective as a unit.
