Lewis & Clark Young Marines is pleased to announce Mr. Devin M. Lewis has been re-elected as Unit Commander. Mr. Lewis was originally appointed as Unit Commander on Sept 24, 2017 when the current Unit Commander unexpectedly resigned. Mr. Lewis was re-elected by the Registered Adult staff on February 1, 2018 and will serve until the next regular election in 2020.
Sean Langley Re-Elected Executive Officer
Lewis & Clark Young Marines would like to announce Mr. Sean Langley has been re-elected by our Registered Adult staff as our Executive Officer (XO) during our regular election on February 1, 2018. Mr. Langley has served as XO since the special election on October 12th when he replaced Mr. Lewis who assumed the Unit Commander (UC) position when our former UC resigned. Mr. Langley will serve as XO until February 2020 when regular elections for XO will occur again.
Mr. Langley has been instrumental in the innovative decisions that will take our unit to the next level. He has been with the unit since 2010 and has served as Charlie Platoon Male Adult Platoon Leader (APL) and Recruiter. Mr. Langley has 3 Young Marines in Lewis & Clark Young Marines.
“Remember – Honor – Teach” Wreaths Across America 2017
Wreaths Across America is an annual event that occurs nationally in December. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day was December 16, 2017. The mission to Remember, Honor and Teach was carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. Celebrating 15 Years Of Commitment & Excellence
15 years ago today, the Lewis & Clark Young Marines graduated its first recruit platoon, Recruit platoon 120702 consisted of 27 recruits with David Sander as our first Honor Graduate.
Since then, Lewis & Clark Young Marines has had 703 Young Marines enrolled in the program.
