On Saturday, the Lewis & Clark Young Marines showcased their dedication and discipline at the Hazel Dell Parade of Bands. With polished boots, crisply ironed uniforms, and proudly displayed ribbons, our Color Guard took the lead, marching in perfect harmony with the vibrant music of Vancouver and surrounding area school bands. The parade was a spectacular display of community spirit and musical talent, highlighting the commitment and pride of our young marines. It was a day to remember, celebrating the unity and enthusiasm of everyone involved.
Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club Hosts an Exciting Day for Lewis & Clark Young Marines
This past Saturday, the Lewis & Clark Young Marines had the incredible opportunity to visit the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club for a day of hands-on learning and practice. Over the past few study nights, our unit has been diligently covering weapon safety, sight usage, and proper handling techniques.
Thanks to the generous hospitality of the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club, our young marines put their newly acquired knowledge to the test. It was an exciting and educational experience, enhancing their confidence and skills in a safe and supportive environment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us and providing such a valuable learning opportunity. Our unit had an absolute blast, and we look forward to future collaborations!
Graduation: Recruit class 31624
On Saturday Recruit class 31624 graduated to Lewis & Clark Young Marines! Congratulations to each and every one of them; they worked very hard. Oorah!
Congratulations to our honor grad Naillaret Ramires, and to her brother Raillon Ramires for receiving second in class overall. Both were promoted meritoriously to YM/ Private First Class. Siblings have not received meritorious promotions in the same recruit class in our unit since 2005!
After graduation, our newest Young Marines joined their platoons and we updated platoon photos.
We’re looking forward to all of the great things these new Young Marines will aspire to, in and out of our unit.

Lewis & Clark Young Marines Advanced Young Marines celebrated the final Color Guard of the season at the Moda Center last night, dressed in their service uniforms.

Communiy Serivce: Recreating raising the Flag on Iwo Jima
On Saturday, a group of Lewis & Clark Young Marines had the honor of joining the Canby Adult Center in recreating raising the Flag on Iwo Jima. They met Vietnam veterans, as well as active duty Marines; this was a very special event, and we are very thankful for this opportunity! We’ve been participating in this annually since 2003 – our longest running community service event.
