On Saturday, a group of Lewis & Clark Young Marines had the honor of joining the Canby Adult Center in recreating raising the Flag on Iwo Jima. They met Vietnam veterans, as well as active duty Marines; this was a very special event, and we are very thankful for this opportunity! We’ve been participating in this annually since 2003 – our longest running community service event.
Community Service: Tree planting
On this past sunny drill Saturday, Lewis & Clark Young Marines were able to get out and do what we do best, community service! We joined Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership and spent a few hours planting trees. Thank you for having our group, we look forward to joining in more tree planting events in the future.
Community Service: Humane Society for Southwest Washington
Community service is back in full swing for these young motivators! Lewis & Clark Young Marines spent yesterday afternoon donating time packing up food for hungry pups at the Humane Society for SW Washington. Thank you for allowing us to visit!
Community service: Tree Planting with Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership
Lewis & Clark Young Marines donned their cold weather gear, jumped on the big bus and did what they do best; community service!
Thank you Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership for letting our unit come and help plant trees!
