YM/SSgt Corban Rider Named 2022 LCYM Young Marine of the Year
Lewis & Clark Young Marines is pleased to announce YM/SSgt Corban Rider has been named 2022 Young Marine of the Year.
YM/SSgt Rider graduated from Recruit Platoon 32319. Since then he has attended Young Marine Division 3 (TN) Junior Leadership school and National Senior Leadership School, where he scored a perfect 100% on his close order drill test. YM/SSgt Rider is in the chess club, jazz repertoire band (trombone) and concert band (french horn) at his high school. He also plays the bass guitar in the church band on Wednesday nights.
YM/SSgt Rider is a junior at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics in Vancouver, WA. He is a member of HQ platoon and serves as the unit guide.
Lewis & Clark is very proud of all of YM/SSgt Rider’s accomplishments. His future in our unit is very bright indeed.
YM/Sgt Aiden Imel Named 2019 Young Marine of the Year for LCYM
Lewis & Clark Young Marines is pleased to announce YM/Sgt Aiden Imel has been named 2019 Young Marine of the Year.
YM/Sgt Imel graduated as the Recruit Honor Grad from Recruit Platoon 32418. Since then he has attended SPACES Orienteering and attended Young Marine National Junior Leadership school. YM/Sgt Imel is also the current president of the 4H R.O.C.K.S. group.
YM/Sgt Imel is a sophomore at Washougal HS in Washougal, WA. He is a member of Alpha platoon.
Lewis & Clark is very proud of all of YM/Sgt Imel’s accomplishments. His future in our unit is very bright indeed.
Supporting the USS Portland-LPD 27 Commissioning
The US Navy commissioned its newest amphibious transport dock, the USS Portland (LPD 27), during a 10:00 a.m. ceremony Saturday, April 21, at the Port of Portland, Marine Terminal 2 in Portland, Oregon. 2018 Northwest Regiment Symposium
On March 17-19, Northwest Regiment Commander, Ms. Nona Mallicoat and Northwest Regiment’s 2018 Young Marine of the Year, YM/MGySgt Emma Langley (Lewis & Clark), hosted the first ever Northwest Regiment Symposium. This invite-only event was held at Lewis & Clark’s drill site in Vancouver, WA and was limited to the 2 senior Young Marines, with a year or more left in the unit, from each of the 15 Young Marines units in the Northwest Regiment.
