On Saturday, Recruit Platoon 31525 came together for the first time, marking the start of an exciting journey! Led by Assistant Recruit Instructors YM/Sgt Harper-Osborne, YM/Cpl Cavazos, and YM/Cpl Millikan, the recruits began learning the core values of teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Their training included Drug Demand Reduction (DDR), physical fitness (PT), and Close Order Drill (COD)—setting a strong foundation for their development. We can’t wait to see what this recruit class accomplishes in the weeks ahead!
Mrs. Sena Rider Honored with Lifetime Presidential Volunteer Service Award

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Sena Rider has received the Lifetime Presidential Volunteer Service Award for dedicating over 4,000 volunteer hours to her community. Her selfless service spans more than a decade, from leading her local PTA and volunteering in classrooms to serving as a Sunday school teacher and small group leader. She has donated platelets 24 times at the Red Cross, played a vital role in encampments and schoolhouses, and now serves as a location coordinator for Wreaths Across America. Her unwavering dedication is an inspiration to us all. Congratulations, Mrs. Rider!

YM/GYSGT Charlotte Bisila Named Unit Young Marine of the Year

We are thrilled to announce YM/GYSGT Charlotte Bisila as our Unit Young Marine of the Year! Since joining as a Poolee in 2019 and graduating in 2020, she has excelled as a leader, recently earning Honor Grad at Senior Leadership School and achieving a perfect 500 on her physical fitness test—securing the Molly Marine Award. She embodies discipline, teamwork, and leadership, always leading by example and mentoring junior members. Outside of the program, she is deeply involved in school activities, excelling in band, varsity track, and serving as Secretary of her high school Bible Club. She also enjoys photography, friends, and her church’s youth group. Congratulations, YM/GYSGT Bisila—Oorah!

YM/GySgt Ramos Retires After Four Years, Sets Sights on the USMC

After four years of dedicated service, we proudly announce the honorable discharge of YM/GySgt Ramos. She has been an outstanding role model, embracing our core values and taking pride in every achievement. As she moves on to attend Clark College, she remains committed to her goal of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Leaving behind a powerful message about leadership, she reminds us that true leaders are made through perseverance, humility, and putting others first. A Leader Moves Forward: YM/MSgt Rider, C. Retires and Joins the Navy

With a mix of excitement and bittersweet farewells, our unit announces the retirement of YM/MSgt Rider, C. after six years of dedicated service. Throughout his time, he exemplified leadership, mentorship, and the core values of our program. His final weekend with us at the Murray Farm Encampment was a memorable send-off before he embarks on his next journey—joining the Navy. As he leaves for boot camp this week, he leaves behind a powerful message: “There is always something new to learn and always a way to improve yourself and your community.” We wish him great success in his future endeavors—Oorah!
