Rain didn’t stop the energy at the DDR Dash Jog-A-Thon—congrats to our top runners!

Despite the soggy weather, our unit brought unstoppable energy to the DDR Dash Jog-A-Thon! A huge Oorah to YM/SGT Brown for securing first place with an impressive 34 laps! Another big shoutout to Mr. Millikan, who participated just for fun and still managed to take second place with 29 laps. Rain or shine, we always give it our all—great job, everyone!

Presenting Colors: Honoring Tradition at Moda Center

October 27, 2024 by Andi Schwartz

Our unit is back at the Moda Center this season to proudly present the colors for the National Anthem! So far, we’ve had the honor of participating in a pre-season game featuring German basketball club ratiopharm ulm vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, and today we were there as the Blazers took on the New Orleans Pelicans. Congratulations to the Blazers on their victory, and thank you for allowing us to be part of this special tradition. Oorah!

A Night of Celebration: 22nd Annual Birthday Ball

October 17, 2024 by Andi Schwartz

Dressed in their finest, our unit gathered for a night of tradition and celebration at the 22nd annual Birthday Ball. This year, we had the honor of hosting our Division 5 Commander and Assistant Commander as guest speakers. The evening also recognized outstanding members, including the Young Marine and Adult Volunteer of the Year (stay tuned for more on that!). After the formalities, we captured fun moments in the photo booth and danced the night away with an incredible DJ. It was a night to remember!

After four years of dedicated service, we proudly announce the honorable discharge of YM/GySgt Ramos. She has been an outstanding role model, embracing our core values and taking pride in every achievement. As she moves on to attend Clark College, she remains committed to her goal of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Leaving behind a powerful message about leadership, she reminds us that true leaders are made through perseverance, humility, and putting others first. We will miss her infectious smile and positive spirit but eagerly await news of her future successes. Oorah!
